As time went on people began requesting a more versatile boat and the Nitro Sport series was born. This one owner 290 Sport used exclusively in fresh water with only 43 hours on the motor is virtually brand new. Stepping aboard dockside it is surprising how stable a platform the boat is, making it pretty comfortable walking around the boat while at anchor or drifting. The 225 horse power motor will plane the boat readily and will cruise at 30 miles per hour with little effort. Under full load the top speed will reach 50 MPH! Looking aft you see 2 removable passenger seats where tall casting seats can be placed. Behind the seats is the aft live well, 2 jump seats which cover the battery lockers and recessed ski pylon mounts which places the tow rope above the motor housing.Moving forward there is a deck plate to install a pedestal table and a deck locker to stow water skis, wake boards and fishing rods. The entire deck area can be covered with snap down carpeting.The driver sits in a bolster seat to starboard with plenty of leg room and the steering wheel, switches, gauges and plotter are all within easy reach. To port is a passenger seat with a glove box containing the stereo and a cooler that drains overboard.Opening the walk through window you have access to the raised fishing/sunning deck which includes sun pads if you choose to lay out. For the fishermen there is another live well to starboard, more storage and a mount for the bow casting seat. Forward of the casting seat is the large anchor locker and mounted in the bow itself is a fishfinder, trolling motor controls and running lights socket. Since delivery the boat was stored with the full cover in place and shielded from the sun under a carport. There is no evidence of gelcoat oxidation anywhere in the finish.
The hull skid plate is not showing any wear or pealing.
The snap down carpeting looks new and the fabric covering the bow and aft raised decks shows little wear.
Being a fresh water boat and with low hours the engine anodes look newly installed.
Some of the wiring for the electronics under the helm console needs to be dressed up.
All 5 trailer tires are looking new and are mounted upon upgraded alloy wheels.
